Our Story, God's Story

How it all started...

Our Redeemer Church & School is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.  Both our church and our school have been a part of North Platte since the late 1920's.  The founders first met at the Lincoln County courthouse before our first congregation was built on the corner of Fourth Street & Cottonwood. 

Continuing to Grow

In 1963, new property was acquired and new buildings built.  For the next several decades the church and school continued to grow.   The campus was enlarged to accommodate the growing school.  The latest addition which includes the gymnasium (called the Family Life Center) was built in the early 2000's.  After some losses in  membership in the mid-2010's, we're seeing things rebound now under new leadership.

Where we are headed...

COVID, among other things, put a damper on the progress that God has been working here at Our Redeemer.  But He used it to bring about a lot of positive things that were unexpected.  Now, with a number of "changes" going on in the public school system, a lot of Christian families are seeking a Christ-centered education for their children.   At the same time, families are returning to worship instead of staying at home to watch the live-stream, so we invite you to ...

Join us every Sunday as we gather to worship together at 10 am and Monday at 7 pm, and become a part of the exciting things that God is doing in and through us as we share the Good News with others in our community and beyond.
